Field Trips to the Ocean Explorium are Educational and Fun!
A field trip to the Explorium is a fun and dynamic way to bring students and science together while complimenting material the teachers cover during the school year.
A field trip to the Ocean Explorium consists of three main components: hands-on activities that allow students to fully understand the concepts being presented; Science on a Sphere® (SOS), a three-dimensional globe floating in space which takes students on a visual journey around planet Earth and beyond—highlighting important scientific issues on a global scale; an opportunity to tour the exhibit floor and interact with the touch tanks.
Each program lasts between two and three hours and can accommodate up to 75 students.* Please click here to view our programs to see the applicable Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks and a description of the important scientific concepts and key terms for each field trip.
Don’t teach science? Field trips to the Ocean Explorium are still a great option for your students. Call for details on program suggestions.
*We are happy to accommodate larger groups, please call for details.
