WOMEN in SCIENCE
+ ENGINEERING = WiSE

The Ocean Explorium, with generous support from the Women's Fund of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts, is pleased to host the second annual Women in Science + Engineering (WiSE) Speaker Series during the month of March.   This series will bring together successful women from our local community and beyond.   Every Thursday evening in March a different speaker will present highlights of her personal journey and accomplishments.   These success stories not only celebrate hard work and achievement but serve as a guide for future generations.  At the Ocean Explorium, our mission is to make ocean science education accessible to all.   We believe that solutions come from inspiration, research, thought and technology.   Not gender.   Our goal is simple; to inspire tomorrow's scientists and engineers...today.

The Ocean Explorium suggests that area teachers encourage their students to attend the WiSE series.  We will distribute a token as proof of attendance and will work closely with interested teachers to ensure students receive scholastic credit for their participation.  Students are welcome to attend each week's event and prepare follow-up questions for the culminating panel.  For more information, contact aspargo@oceanexplorium.org.

We are pleased to present the following women during the WiSE speaker series.   Our doors open at 6:15 for refreshments and mingling before the talks begin at 7pm.  We hope learners of all ages will join us!
