Getting Here

Wheelchair Access: The Ocean Explorium is wheelchair accessible, through a glass entrance behind the building, conveniently located in the tenant's only parking lot. Please be sure to call ahead at (508) 994-5400 as the doors are locked during non-business hours.

From Points South: Take Route 140 South to Exit 2E (195 East) to New Bedford. Get off at Exit 15 (Downtown). You are now on Route 18. You will drive through one set of lights (see Standard-Times building on the right) and then the next set of lights will be for Union Street.  Take a right on Union Street.  Continue two blocks up Union Street and the Ocean Explorium will be on your left hand side (across the street from the Green Bean Coffee Shop).

From Boston and Points North: Take the southeast expressway towards Quincy and Braintree. Get on Route 128 North to Route 24 South. This is a tricky turn-off that occurs on the left side of the highway. When you reach Taunton, (Silver City Galleria Mall exit) take Route 140 South, to Exit 2E (195 East). Get off at Exit 15 (Route 18 South). Follow directions above.

From Cape Cod: Take Route 195 (New Bedford). Follow until you reach Exit 15 (Downtown) in New Bedford. You are now on Route 18. Follow directions above.

Parking: Street Parking is available. $2 parking is available in the Zeiterion Parking Garage located two blocks from Union Street on Acushnet Avenue.
