The Ocean Explorium invites you to participate in our Ocean Voice Speaker Series: Celebrate Women in Science and engineering, throughout the month of March. A successful career in science and engineering is an assembly of parts: Education, training, resources and opportunity must all be within reach. At the Ocean Explorium, our mission is to make ocean science education accessible to all. We believe that solutions come from inspiration, research, thought and technology. Not gender. Our goal is simple; to inspire tomorrow’s scientists and engineers… today.

During the month of March, participants in our Ocean Voice! speaker series will learn about the personal journeys and accomplishments from local, women scientists and engineers. Their success stories celebrate their achievement and hard work and serve as a model for future generations of women.

Increasing our understanding of science and technology will only strengthen our life, our work and our world.

The oceans exhibit a rich and evolving field of swirling eddies. Its uppermost layers contain almost as many plant cells as are present on land. How does the eddying ocean with its blooming phytoplankton influence our climate? How might this change in the centuries to come?
