NEW BEDFORD, MA (July 7, 2011) — The Ocean Explorium hosts the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and U.S. Geological Society as they present results of a cooperative seafloor mapping project on Monday, July 11, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
NEW BEDFORD, MA (July 7, 2011) — The Ocean Explorium hosts the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and U.S. Geological Society as they present results of a cooperative seafloor mapping project on Monday, July 11, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Regional entities conducting the seafloor mapping in Massachusetts waters include the US Geologic Survey, state Division of Marine Fisheries and Office of Coastal Zone Management, and the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies. In addition to display posters, live videos and computer images, there will be two 'Meet and Greet' sessions, at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, with experts ready to answer questions. This special event is open to the public. Although the Ocean Explorium will be open, the focus will be on the seafloor mapping forum; regular programs will not be available.
