On Thursday, September 23, Steve Theberge, a member of the Florida Sea Grant faculty in Panama City, will present "From Burping Fish to Giant Oil Spills:  How Can a Local Sea Grant Agent Help Out?"  Mr. Theberge writes that "Local fishing communities face many challenges.  How do we help them adjust and survive?"  His talk will cover such issues as bycatch mortality, cooperative research, counting fish and other pertinent topics.  Come to this special edition of Ocean Voice and get into a fishing frame of mind as the city of New Bedford gears up for the 7th Annual Working Waterfront Festival.

The Ocean Explorium is pleased to present this and other important subjects at its signature speaker series, Ocean Voice.  Doors open at 6:15 pm for refreshments and mingling in the Ocean Explorium before the talk at 7 pm.
